Design Investment
We are often asked if we charge for an estimate. We do not charge for a estimate if the design has been completed and paid for or the project does not require a design (seeding, sodding, straight simple retaining walls [4 feet high or smaller], small lawn only sprinkler systems or maintenance work). The old axiom "You Get What You Pay For" rings very true in landscape design/build. "Free Design" usually means little time or effort spent. We charge for our time as we spend precious time designing a landscape that meets the needs of our clients. We see the design process as one where the designer and the customer have fun designing a landscape together. This is the best part of the whole process! We use this mutual design time to educate and enlighten our customers and let them dream about what could be! We then make it happen for them with a fair and complete estimate. In our process the clients see their dreams come to life as we complete the landscape project.
Our consultation fees for new clients are $20.00 per hour plus travel expenses. A $100 deposit will be collected before the design process begins.
All of our design fees are Deposits if you sign an agreement to install the design. We apply the amount to your account so any fees become a down payment towards your project. Your landscape designer will also discuss payment options including cash discounts when completing the project agreement with you.
